This magnificent chair was designed and built by Ben Ostrander. Every piece of the chair was hand crafted and stained or faux painted to extraordinary lengths easily visible in these images. Book and Pen being the tools of The Law was his inspiration and the result is this beautiful art piece.
Sally Michener is a ceramic artist of recognized senior status in Western Canada and elsewhere, she taught ceramics at the Emily Carr School of Art and Design for many years as well as maintaining her individual artistic work. In her current works she interprets the human form by using discarded ceramic shards, sometimes in a slim vertical form and others on monumental busts. Her work is always a joy to photograph!
Ken has been responsible for the photography both in studio and on location for Taste Magazine since its inception. Always keeping a fresh seasonal feeling to the images while working closely with the magazine staff and their layouts.
Fabulous snow conditions this year brought out the skiers and boarders by the thousands. Visitors from all over the world flocked to Whistler to experience the fabulous snow conditions and relax in the SUN which did come out this year, particularly at the top of the mountain!
